You are charmed by The French Laundry before you even set foot inside it. The river rock walls, the timber balcony, the climbing plants — there is decidedly something of Europe about it.
Inside, it only gets better. You find the service is flawless and the arrangements impeccable. As for the main attraction, dinner itself — well, this is a Michelin 3-star restaurant and Thomas Keller, the owner and head chef, will show you why.
Reservations are near impossible here. And you need a chauffeur, for the wine pairings are quite divine.
