Swiftly and silently, you will glide on the snow into the polar night. There will be no noise, because the electric snowmobiles have soundless engines. And no light except that of your headlights.
When you reach the solitary valley, turn them off. Then look up and gasp in wonder at the mysterious green lights dancing in the black sky.
They are not mysterious, really. Your guide will tell you they are disturbances in the magnetosphere due to solar wind. But remember, this is not what the northern lights really are — it’s only what they are made of.
