Emanuele Giachi is the person to call when you travel to San Gimignano.
Want to drive a Ferrari onto the town’s pedestrianised main square? Emaneuele can arrange it. Want to dine privately on top of San Gimignano’s second-highest tower? Emanuele owns the tower.
Hailing from a long line of pioneers who have shaped Tuscan history, Emanuele’s family own seven vineyards and have the keys to castles and cellars that never open to the public. At Kated we know him as the King of San Gimignano, such is his charismatic storytelling and ability to open doors.
“Our family goes back many generations in this area and it’s a pleasure to help Kated members experience this living history” says Emanuele.
Tourism isn’t his full-time profession, but a means of sharing stories and proudly illuminating centuries of Tuscan history. Emanuele designs and guides, inviting travelers to parts of Tuscany that don’t feature in guidebooks but are his favourite places.
Emanuele continues: “Tuscany is one of the most popular destinations in the world but most visitors stick to the same activities. There is so much more”
In his role of travel designer, Emanuele arranges private trips within the Tuscany area. These can be one day to one week or more and he partners with travel designers who specialise in other parts of Italy.
