Rich Indian Ocean waters surround Zanzibar. Turtles swim along reef walls. Reef sharks over hundreds of nudibranch. Groupers and napoleans never seem to be far away.
Zanzibar remains an underrated diving destination. Sure, it doesn’t have as much big stuff compared to Mozambique, but diving here is so easy. And the reef walls are fabulous, with depths of 18 – 50 metres dependent on your qualification.
Spend a day diving around Mnemba Atoll, home to the greatest abundance of marine life in the area. From a wreck to a wall you’ll travel counter to the other boats, so you can have this abundance mostly to yourself.
