Feel your lungs sucking in thin air as you climb to over 4300m and a picturesque lake high in the Andes Mountains. The stunning landscape, as well as the altitude, are breathtaking.
You’ll descend from the lake, following an ancient Inca trail of stone steps and cobbled paths, to the village of Huchuy Qosqo or Little Cusco. The remains of this Incan administrative and agricultural centre sit far above the Urubamba Valley and provide incredible panoramic views.
Your guide will take you through the ruins and back down through an ancient Incan gateway, with the towering peaks of the Andes looming behind you. It’s an unforgettable hike for the fit and adventurous.
