Racket-tailed rollers and wattled cranes. Slaty egrets and white-fronted bee-eaters. Then the birds upon high, predators like fish eagles soaring above the river.
Namibia may not seem a great birding destination, not with all that desert. But the Caprivi Strip is lush and green, dominated by rivers that tumble down from Angola and later form the Okavango Delta and Victoria Falls.
Visit the Caprivi with a specialist guide and go in search of some 450 species. Just watch out for the elephants as well.
