An unspoilt wilderness on the southern shores of Maputo Bay. A reserve with an ever-growing wildlife population, thanks to the concerted conservation and anti-poaching efforts of the Peace Parks Foundation.
Here they’ve reintroduced thousands of individual animals, representing dozens of species. Elephants graze grasslands in herds up to one hundred strong. Hippos enjoy the swamps and wetlands alongside crocodiles. Giraffe and antelope quench their first on the lakeshores. Dugong inhabit coastal shallows.
The reserve enjoys protection from a rapid-response helicopter to counter poaching. You will spend the day on the ground, savouring a game drive and walking safari in a very special piece of wilderness.
