At Los Cerritos, gentle rollers wash ashore from the Pacific, breaking along a breathtaking crescent-shaped beach. This quiet sandy-bottomed beach is the perfect place to learn to surf. 

After going over theory and form on the beach, get in the water with an expert instructor who will help you ride your first wave. Or maybe your 1000th wave. If you know how to surf the instructor can talk you through the waves, with the heads up on drop-in points and conditions. 

Then travel to the nearby town of Todos Santos. Wander historic streets and explore the town’s past as a mission and center for sugar-cane production. Pop into small local galleries then enjoy dinner as the sun sets over the Pacific.
