It was built as a monastery in the 16th century, but there is nothing monastic about this place now. 

You will find that out for yourself at your first glimpse of the comfortable, light-filled rooms. Enter, and go on to the window, to the view of the sea, where boats resting in the shade of lush wood-covered slopes.
