Rising out of the fields you will see a compound of tall stone temples. They were built twelve centuries ago, dedicated to the gods of the Hindu trinity. Abandoned for a thousand years, these masterpieces are now being restored, and you will walk among them in awe and admiration.
Bike on through fields of sugarcane, rice and cassava. You will stop at a village to meet local people and taste the harvest fruits. And you will visit the Buddhist temples of Lumbung, Bubrah and Sewu. They too were, for ten centuries, abandoned by men. But the gods always remember.
