Visit places where what you see, only hints at what you don’t see.
Lost for a thousand years, these Buddhist temples were rediscovered and restored. In Mendut, you will admire a majestic Buddha flanked by bodhisattvas Avalokiteshvara and Vajrapani. In Pawon, you will see sacred images carved on the outer walls. And at Borobudur you will be in the largest Bhuddhist temple in the world. Here there is a square hill of stone terraces and steps, leading to the stupas on the top.
Once you come down to earth again, you will go on a horse-drawn carriage tour, discover traditional farms, meet local residents and learn about their traditions and crafts.
