Pucon is a beautiful city on the banks of a lake, its skyline dominated by Villarrica Volcano. This is a town best enjoyed out-of-doors, with plenty of opportunities for adventures of all kinds. 

Explore the lake by kayak or paddleboard. Ride on horseback along nature trails to visit natural hot springs. Travel through the hilly Huerquehue National Park, hiking in temperate rainforest in search of a pudú, the world’s smallest deer.

Or go for the region’s big adventure: Villarrica Volcano. A challenging hike will bring you to the edge of an open crater at 2,847m, and allow you to peer into the molten heart of the continent.
