Sail by private catamaran to an isolated bird sanctuary in the Caribbean Sea. Man-O-War Caye is a cluster of mangroves that supports a resplendent population of sea birds.
Use binoculars to get a closer look at individual species among the flurry of feathers. Pelicans swallow small fish whole, brown boobies land with signature clumsiness, and the magnificent frigatebird—also known as man-o-war bird (the island’s namesake)—inflates a large red pouch on its chest to attract a mate.
From the deck of your catamaran, you will see these birds and more, living in the branches of Belize’s three mangrove species.
