Wander the foothills of Mount Elgon, upon muddy local trails to three of Africa’s most impressive waterfalls.
The route mostly traverses private property and it’s rare to see any other foreigners on the trail. A local guide negotiates your passage and you visit three waterfalls, with superb views over mountains and plains on the route.
Returning from Sipi Falls you’ll cross a family coffee farm to learn about the coffee making process. Pick berries, deshell and grind them with a pestle and mortar, roast them on an open fire, then enjoy your own cup of stong Arabica coffee.
