In a country where sheep outnumber humans seven to one, this travel moment pays respects to these woolly creatures who unquestioningly warm us every winter. 

Full access to the huge multi-hectare site is granted. You are invited to take a closer look at the daily workings of the farm including a tour of the woolsheds and shearing centres. With the sprawling land area of the station simply too vast to scale on foot, a four-wheel drive will transport you to the far reaches. You’ll see the sheep and learn what it was like to work these fields in harder times. 

Then after a short lunch and a steady trek out into the wonderful wilderness, inconceivable views of the mountains and glaciers will make you stop in your tracks.
