A proud and misunderstood culture. An ancient lifestyle kept alive. More than a tourist attraction. The Himba are among Africa’s most unique indigenous tribes – don’t meet them if you just want to take photos of their bodies, which are famously smeared in red ochre.
Don’t meet the Himba if you only have one hour to spare. This is an intimate experience, a privilege to share ideas and conversation with such a remote group of people.
You will be guided in northern Namibia to spend at least one full day with the Himba. Walk with them, slowly grow accustomed to their lifestyle, and soak up a personal education from a disappearing culture.
