Snow shimmers on rugged mountains. Plains extend into the distance and you canter into the wilderness. A cowboy leads the way and the horses want to play, just the clip-clop of hooves piercing Andean stillness.
Argentina gauchos live all over the country and those in the Andes benefit from enormous pastures. Here you can ride beneath the great mountains and completely escape the everyday, on a gaucho day complete with a wilderness barbecue.
Most of the day is riding, but you’ll also enjoy a horse demonstration and plenty of top-notch food. This is a great interlude to the Mendoza wine tasting and a good way to diversify your stay in the region.
