Day 2 - Wonders of the Golden Circle

The motherland of Thingvellir National Park is an historic UNESCO site, where turbulent tectonic plates formed Iceland 24 million years ago. The country of Iceland was formed here. The first meeting of the ruling chieftains was in 930 AD making Iceland’s parliament the oldest governing body in the modern world. As you retrace the steps of Viking history, study the bewildering geologic formations of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge. You will be at the spot where the North American and Eurasian continental plates collide and will have the chance to stand on two continents at once. Scalding hot water and steam clouds explode right in front of you! You step back and marvel at mother nature in the Geysir Geothermal Area. Bubbling hotpots, steaming fumaroles and the noxious ‘Smell of Hell’ you are never going to forget, keeps you wandering around the Golden Circle in search of more.Now, feel the energy of Gullfoss Waterfall and its awe-inspiring power flowing through an ancient valley. ‘The Golden Falls’ is the most spectacular waterfall in Iceland, afterall, it does shine gold from the glacier waters. The Golden Circle is Iceland’s most famous visitor route and for very good reasons. Day 3 - Helicopter Into a Volcano & Whale Watching

Day 4 - Hiking on a Glacier in South Iceland

Take a private transfer to far southern Iceland and two nights at the exquisite Skalakot Lodge.

Set off on a captivating drive through the diverse landscapes dotting the South Coast. The journey takes you past black-sand beaches, rugged mountains, immense glaciers, and towering volcanoes. Stop by the legendary Skógafoss, see a dazzling rainbow within its misty plume and climb the adjacent staircase to the heavens just above the falls. Make a stop at the iconic Seljalandsfoss waterfall and watch it plunge to the ground along a craggy cliffside. Walk the scenic trail parallel to the cliff and spot other spindles of water cascade against the rocks. The path lets you amble behind Seljalandsfoss where you can capture a jaw-dropping panorama of the waterfall against the horizon. Complete your drive along this gorgeous section of Iceland by visiting the eye-popping geologic formations of Dyrhólaey, the southernmost point of the island.

Day 5 - The Glacier Lagoon

Day 6 - Snowmobile Adventure & the Blue Lagoon
