Every July, Mongolians come together to vibrantly celebrate their ancient culture and continued tradition. They follow in the footsteps of legend as they participate and watch the annual Naadam, rapturous festivities centered on friendship and the three “games of men:” archery, horse racing, and wrestling.
The country’s best compete over two days in capital city Ulaanbaatar. You’ll be experiencing it all, from vibrant ceremonies of throat singing and dance to dramatic horse races and wrestles.
You’ll also be getting fully involved with the traditions; tasting local food, sleeping in gers, playing games with sheep knuckles against strangers, and discovering a culture that’s alive today as it was during Ghengis Khan’s reign.
