The Bayanzag cliffs burn a thousand different shades of red, tones subtly colliding as they cascade down to the valley floor.
Walk out to narrow pinnacles and feel the desert wind whip past. Scramble up and down the rugged cliffs for an idea of the landscape’s scale and keep looking for dinosaur fossils.
Hundreds of dinosaur eggs, footprints, and fossils, have been discovered within these cragged canyons, and the area continues to be explored by archaeologists.
Bayanzag is deep in the Gobi Desert and random animals accompany the journey. Expect to see wild camels wandering in search of water and small desert dwellers poking their heads from burrows.
