Stop the camel, turn back in the saddle, and look all around you. Sand meets the city and the greatest standing wonder of civilisation looms large. 

Ride on, following your guide. You will climb a tall dune and see them come into better focus. The pyramids, growing larger as you ride on. And you will think of the Arabian Nights, and of the countless real-life caravans that trod this route over the centuries.

Before getting there, you will stop to have tea with local bedouins and enjoy the view of the pyramids.
